Privacy policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy describes what personal data FindLader processes, why, and the rights you have. FindLader is an information service about EV charging in Denmark and requires no user account.
Data controller
FindLader is the data controller for the processing of personal data on findlader.dk. You can contact us at [email protected].
Usage statistics
When you use the site, we record privacy-friendly usage statistics (e.g. page views, optimizer runs and clicks). Each event is linked to a pseudonymous, daily-rotating hash of your IP address (SHA-256 of IP + date) — not to your identity, and rotated each day so there is no tracking across days. We set no tracking cookies for analytics and build no profile of you (advertising via Google AdSense is described below under Cookies and advertising). We also use Umami — a cookieless, privacy-friendly web analytics service — to measure aggregate traffic; Umami sets no cookies and does not track you across websites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the service, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Cookies and advertising
We show ads via Google AdSense to fund the service. AdSense may set cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Before personalized ads are shown, we ask for your consent via Google's consent banner (CMP); you can change or withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not consent, at most non-personalized ads are shown. For advertising, Google acts as an independent data controller — see Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and how Google uses data from partner sites (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Our own usage statistics and Umami remain cookieless. Legal basis for advertising cookies: your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and the Danish cookie order.
Sponsored placements and payment
Buying a sponsored placement is handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe collects company name, CVR/VAT number, billing address and email. We store only Stripe identifiers (customer and subscription IDs) and an access token for the stats dashboard — not the buyer's personal or billing details. Legal basis: performance of a contract, cf. Article 6(1)(b).
Emails
We send emails about a sponsorship (activation, payment problems, cancellation). The recipient's address is fetched from Stripe when sending and is not stored by us.
Processors
We use selected providers that process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), SMTP2GO (email delivery), Umami (cookieless web analytics) and Microsoft Azure (hosting in the EU — West/North Europe). We also use Google AdSense for advertising (see the Cookies and advertising section). Umami may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses); Google may likewise transfer data to the US under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Server logs (incl. IP address) are kept for operation and security.
Retention
Usage statistics are kept for up to 24 months and operational logs for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted automatically. Payment data is retained by Stripe under its own policy and under Danish bookkeeping law (5 years).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
